Check out the pictures below, so sweet!

(Source: http://www.carbl.com/)

"Great news for Porsche’s fans! The new hard-core 911 version of the Porsche’s bolid will arrive at the Geneva Motor Show. As original 911 Turbo debuted 35 years ago, its 256 horsepower was considered staggering. The new 911 GT3 again leaves old 911 in the dust with an un-boosted 435 hp from its 3.8-liter flat-six. The run to 60 miles now takes a 4.1 seconds. Handling dynamics are also claimed to be improved and the driver now has more control over the stability management system. The electronic stability control and traction control systems can now be individually deactivated, and high-speed behavior is also aided by improved downforce at both ends of the car.

No word yet on when the U.S. will get a shot. The GT3 will land at US dealers in October starting at $112,00.

PRESS RELEASE:

New Porsche 911 GT3: Top Performer on the Road with Ambitions on the Track

Stuttgart. Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, Stuttgart, is adding yet another new model to the second generation of the 911 model series: the new GT3 even more powerful, faster, and refined than its predecessor.

In developing the most sporting and dynamic road-going 911 with a normal-aspiration power unit, Porsche has applied a wide range of know-how gained in motorsport. Indeed, this is precisely why the new GT3 is truly impressive not only on the road, but also on the race track.

The new 911 GT3 is making its world debut at the Geneva Motor Show on 3 March, with Europe-wide sales starting in May.

The 911 GT3 offers an even higher standard above all in two key areas: performance and driving dynamics. Now the proven six-cylinder naturally-aspirated power unit develops maximum output of 435 bhp (320 kW), up 20 bhp over its predecessor. This results first and foremost from an increase in engine capacity by 200 cc to 3.8 litres and from the improved gas cycle: now not only the intake, but for the first time also the exhaust camshafts are adjusted by VarioCam.

A further important point is that, through its upgraded power and performance, the boxer engine also offers a significant increase in torque at medium engine speeds, a benefit of particular significance in everyday motoring. Clearly, this also means a further improvement in performance, the new GT3 accelerating from a standstill to 100 km/h in 4.1 seconds and reaching 160 km/h in 8.2 seconds. Top speed is 312 km/h or 194 mph.

The second highlight in developing the 911 GT3 to an even higher standard was to further improve the car’s driving dynamics: For the first time the 911 GT3 comes with a particularly sporting variant of PSM Porsche Stability Management, offering the option to deactivate both Stability Control (SC) and Traction Control (TC) in separate steps. And to give the driver unrestricted, individual control over the driving dynamics of his car, these functions are not reactivated automatically even under the most extreme driving conditions, but only at the touch of a button.

The new GT3 offers even better grip and stability also at high speeds, specific modifications of the car’s aerodynamics increasing down-forces both front and rear to such an extent that the overall pressure pushing down the car is more than twice as great as on the former model. At the same time the new Aerodynamics Package gives the GT3 a brand-new look further accentuated by the new bi-xenon headlights, LED rear light clusters, as well as modified air intakes and outlets.

The active PASM suspension of the 911 GT3 enables Porsche’s engineers to make the springs and anti-rollbars somewhat stiffer yet again, thus ensuring even more precise handling in the PASM sports mode, while retaining appropriate roll comfort suitable for everyday use in the normal PASM mode. New, even lighter wheels in racing design with central locking and UHP (ultra-high performance) tyres now even featuring tyre pressure control round off the functional and visual enhancement of the GT3.

With driving dynamics and performance increasing to an even higher level, the brake system, following an old Porsche tradition, has been enhanced accordingly on the new 911 GT3. The brake discs now come with an even larger friction disc and an aluminium cover to reduce weight even further. Further improvement of brake ventilation, in turn, guarantees an even higher level of consistent brake power also over long periods. And as an option the GT3 comes as before with an exclusive version of PCCB ceramic brakes made specifically for this model.

Starting in autumn, the new GT3 will be available with yet another option making the car even more suitable for the race track: new and highly innovative PADM (Porsche Active Drivetrain Mount) engine bearings. These special engine mounts recognise a particularly sporting, race-like style of driving, making the normally elastic engine suspension hard and particularly resistant. This retains all the motoring comfort of the GT3 in everyday traffic, while on the race track the car is not affected by any mass forces coming from the engine, as would otherwise be the case in fast bends and on winding tracks.

Yet a further advantage is the car’s improved traction when accelerating from a standstill.

Another feature also new on the new model is the optional lift system for the front axle able to raise the ground clearance of the car for driving on bumpy surfaces or steep gradients ?? for example into an underground garage ?? at the touch of a button by 30 millimetres or almost 1.2″.

The Euro base price of the new GT3 is Euro 98,100, in Germany the retail price including value-added tax and specific national features is Euro 116,947. In the USA the GT3 will be at the dealership in October at a price of USD 112,200 (MSRP without taxes)."

If you need more information on porsche repair or Denver porsche service check out www.autorepairindenver.com

KIA Amanti - Worth Every Cent

A carryover from 2004, the most recent Kia Amanti is a family sedan made available in one trim level which is the Base. It can take up a maximum capacity of five passengers along with an easier entry and exit with its four doors. It can up 17 mpg during city driving and a 25 mpg while on the highway.

Although the Kia Amanti bears quite a resemblance to a Mercedes, it is quite different overall. This vehicle invokes luxury from its overall appearance. The interior has seat adjustment buttons mounted on its doors so as to help facilitate a Mercedes illusion. This vehicle is the most expensive among Kia’s model line up, however this vehicle is worth every cent for it provides an enormous interior, excellent performance with its quiet yet strong V6 engine, and its comfortable and quiet ride due to the Kia Amanti’s good sound isolation techniques. Something that the Kia Amanti is proud of is its seemingly endless allocation for space.

When Kia has designed the Kia Amanti, the automobile manufacturer has certainly made sure that the safety of the driver and the vehicle’s passengers would not looked over and missed out on. And for sure, even the previous generations of this vehicle holds safety intact. The Kia Amanti offers more standard airbags than any other car in its class. It also holds airbags that provides the utmost protection during inevitable accidents along with the vehicle’s front active headrests. Each and every Kia Amanti has front and rear crumple zones, side-impact door beams and also has reinforced pillars. This family sedan has a wheelbase of 110.2 inches, a length of 196 inches, a total width of 72.8 inches, and an overall height of 58.5 inches. The Kia Amanti has features and additional options like a multi-port fuel injection, electronic power steering, a double wishbone front suspension, gas shock absorbers, alloy wheels, clear-lens halogen headlights, side markup lamp, in-glass antenna, dual body color power heated mirrors, a windshield de-icer, a solar glass windshield, one-touch auto up/down power windows, power door locks, a remote keyless entry system along with an alarm with panic button, an AM/FM/cassette/CD audio system, four door mounted tweeter speakers and dual front airbags.

www.partstrain.com provides Kia Amanti and Kia vehicles owners a complete line of the highest quality Kia car parts, performance parts, like Kia Amanti parts. The Kia KOUP is a sexy, stylish concept car now making the rounds of the auto shows. If it is receives a green light for production, this car could go a long way toward reforming Kia's budget image.

Kia KOUP - What's With The Name?

The variation of coupe in the KOUP's name is likely to stir some controversy. Personally, I don't like it, but I do think that the car is attractive. This car reminds me of Kia's sister company's coupe, the Hyundai Tiburon, but the Kia model certainly has the better looking lines. Kia would do well to come up with another name should the coupe go into production.

The Kia concept is powered by a 2.0-liter Theta II turbocharged engine producing 290 horsepower paired with a GDI (Gasoline Direct Injection) twin scroll turbocharger designed to deliver superior power and fuel efficiency. By means of injecting fuel directly into the cylinder under high pressure using the Kia GDI system, the intake charge is cooled and combustion behavior is improved. Improved combustion assures excellent fuel economy and low emissions. Lower grille openings enable additional air intake for extra power. Kia claims that the KOUP delivers torque of 289 lb-ft at a low 2,000 rpm sustained to 4,000 rpm.

These numbers put the KOUP squarely in Mitsubishi Eclipse territory, one of the car's likely competitors. The Eclipse has performed well for Mitsubishi and the KOUP could do the same for Kia. Besides, when you think of Kia the term "low-budget" comes to mind. The new coupe can help to burnish Kia's image like no car before it.

Where To See It?

Having made its debut at the 2008 New York International Auto Show, expect that Kia will show the car at major venues over the coming months. If public reception for the car is good, then expect that production will begin as soon as possible. This could mean that the oddly named KOUP will hit US streets as early as 2010, a car delivering good looks, performance, and fuel economy for a value price.

(Source: Auto Trends)

An Introduction to Used Car Dealers

(Source: Eric Morris)

Used car dealers are the largest source of used cars nationwide since they offer a lot of variety and choices, offer financing deals, and even throw in maintenance services including road-side assistance for free. Aside from all these, it is deemed better to buy from registered car dealers and is even safer for consumers compared to buying from private dealers.

Registered Car Dealers

It is important to check the credibility of used car dealers before being sweet-talked into buying a used car that you do not even need. Registered car dealers may be checked for records of bad deals in consumer welfare government offices. Also, registered car dealers offer extended dealer's warranty which is greatly beneficial to the buyer. The extended warranty stretches long after you have acquired the vehicle. They also protect their business and the consumer by providing title guaranteed against stolen vehicles since the government implements strict laws against the sale of stolen vehicles. Larger used car dealers may also offer financial assistance at low interests and varying time periods. This makes car payments easier on the budget-savvy buyers. Trading in your old car for a newer vehicle is also an option that car dealerships may propose. When planning to sell your car, this may be one of your best options since it takes away the worry of looking for perspective buyers for your car. Further, a dealer's compensation fund that protects consumers from defective vehicles is also provided by car dealerships. Consumers who buy vehicles from registered dealers are also protected by the government through numerous consumer protection and business acts.

Despite all these, consumers must still be aware at the risks of buying used cars from even the most reputable car dealer. Inevitably, used car dealerships are not charitable institutions but in the competitive business of selling used cars, used car dealers are more interested in gaining more satisfied customers rather than earning large profits. Nothing sells better than referrals made by satisfied customers. Before selling a pre-owned car, car dealerships first thoroughly inspect the vehicle then if feasible, repair the car and make it fit to be sold.

More on Used Car Dealers

Looking for the Best Used Car Dealer

(Source: Alan Lim)
So how do you know who to trust? Which car dealer is best to transact business? Here is some useful information on searching for the best used car dealer.

1) Reputation: This is the most vital in choosing car dealer. Making business deals with fair, honest and accommodating car dealer is easy as long as you find a reputable dealership. You should check with the local Better Business Bureau for car dealers reliability report and you could ask relatives and friends for past car dealers they dealt with that guarantee satisfaction.

2) Services: Finding the best car dealers should not be the only factor to consider. Make sure the services the car dealers provide are appropriate. These services include:

* Check and check out – Most car dealers provide express maintenance and service appointments to its customers.

* Car loans - Some extend their services by handling or providing assistance with your financial needs.

* Service rates - Each car dealership has various service discounts. Service rates may vary depending on the name, location, other benefits, and negotiations.

* Warranty – Some car dealers offer free extended car warranties when you purchase used cars or service and examine vehicles from them.

3) Price range: Most people assume that the price you pay is for the whole vehicle. This is not the case when doing business with car dealers.

Majority of dealerships include “add-ons” that may include window tinting, car accessories, CD changers, paint protector products, undercarriage coatings, car interior accessories and many more. Some car dealers may try and force the customers into purchasing them usually install the add-ons.

If these additional accessories would be an advantage for you, it might be a blessing. However, if you prefer to purchase the car alone, check to see the car you wish to buy if it includes add-ons refrain from paying additional for each.

Extra fees such as dealer handling and dock fees are charged to set up a used car for sale, maintaining the car and preparing needed documents for the car sale. These extra fees could be negotiated since all of these services would only provide additional profit for the dealer.

Aside from a respectful, dignified and honest car dealer, consider these factors in choosing the best car dealer. You may be purchasing a used car, but by looking for the best person to assist you, it will lead to a good investment.

More Abut Car Dealers

2008 Automakers Report

Visit msnbc.com for Breaking News, World News, and News about the Economy

Provided By MSNBC

Should You Buy A Used Car??

(Source: Billings Farsworth )

There is just something about that new car smell that Americans love. Likewise, there is something about driving tat brand new car off of the lot for the first time and showing it to your friends and family. But have you considered buying a used car instead? Used cars provide great value for their owners, and can help you keep costs down while still enjoying a new car.

Used cars also enable you to get better features and more options than you might have been able to afford if you were buying the car new. Used cars are a great option if you're looking for a new car that just might be a little out of your budget range. Next time you are considering buying a car, consider a used car instead and see how much you'll save by looking for used cars in your area.

Used cars are a great choice for many different reasons. As long as you've done the correct research on the car you want to buy, you'll be able to afford more cars than if you were to buy one new. We all know that a new car loses twenty percent of its value the moment it drives off of the car lot, so doesn't it make sense to buy a gently used car instead. You can find great deals from people who are upgrading to newer cars and have babied their car they want to sell. A used car might just be in as good of shape as a new one, and you'll get it for half the price! See your local dealership for used cars that are right for you.

Back to Car Dealership

How Dealerships Price Cars

Leasing vs. Buying a New Car

(Source: Radu Mamut)

Car transport is the most popular way of getting around in villages, cities, and small towns. When it comes to owning a car, many people grapple with whether, it is better to lease or to buy a car. People that do not have a great deal money or those that would rather use the money for something else can lease a car. This is because leasing a new car does not require the person to have a large amount money as some leasing companies only expect a little amount of money for the lease, while others do not expect any money at all. People that lease new cars, will be required to pay small amounts of money every month as well. All this is good enough, but at the end of the lease, the leaser will be left with no car. On the other hand, buying a car is more costly initially, as one will have to pay a tidy sum of money every month for it. The best part of it is after the payments, the car will wholly belong to the buyer and they can either keep it or sell it to buy a new one.

Leasing also helps those looking to experience an expensive car, but do not have the money to buy one. Thus, one can drive in a flashy car, without necessarily owning the car; this is possible via leasing. Monotony is a problem people that have driven the same car for years often face. This problem can be dealt with, if a person chooses to lease as they can change their car after several years. One more reason, as to why leasing a car can be the better option, is that the owner will not be subjected to trade-in hassles, when their leasing period is over, they will walk way peacefully. One important thing to note is that leasing cars is not for people that love to keep their cars for extended periods, it is for drivers whose mileage is high, or for the kind of people that do not like making decisions on new cars on a regular basis. People that are not into building equity, have stable incomes and do not like selling and trading in used cars can go for leasing.

During periods of low interest rates, it is financially sensible to buy a car rather than lease one, as one will not pay much for it. The problem of mileage penalty will not keep car owners awake, as they will not be subjected to it. Buying a car is more flexible than leasing one, because the owner can do whatever they want with it, they could sell it at their convenience and so on. People that would rather drive a car they own for years to spread the cost out, those that like customizing cars or those that expect lifestyle changes any time soon can buy the car. No one can say for sure whether leasing a car is better than buying a car and vice versa. The decision one will make will depend on their lifestyles as well as their priorities in finances and cars.

How Car Dealerships Price their Used Cars

A franchise dealer has a pretty simple model for the way they price used cars. They just pick a percentage over what the car has been estimated to be worth on the wholesale market. That wholesale market value is determined by the cars age, the cars make and model as well as options, the mileage and overall condition of the car.

A dealer determines how much markup they will use on used car based on these factors. The first thing they take into consideration is the price they paid to get the car. They might have taken the car as a trade against buying a new car, which means they did not pay any cash for it, or they bought the car from a private seller, an auction or wholesaler. The second thing they must take into consideration is the cost that they have paid for repairs and reconditioning the car needed. They then finally have to tack on more to the price so that they can make money. This is a business they are running after all.

The markup that a dealer puts on will be influenced by all these factors. As you can see it is clearly more than just one thing that affects how much people have to pay for a used car. If you want to be an educated buyer of used cars your objective should be to find out the cars wholesale price and then how much the dealer has put into the car to get it ready. This will tell you how to plan your negotiations since a dealer is almost never going to go lower than those two things.

When shopping for used cars, everyone knows that you need to bargain. It is for this reason that most dealerships include a "negotiation pad" in what they use as their markups. Many people who come to the used car lots will not buy a car unless they feel they are getting a deal. If dealerships marked cars with the prices they actually wanted to sell them for then people would come in and try and haggle below that level. If they put it at say 1000 above, they can easily let people bargain them down that 1000 and still get a price they feel is fair. If people don't bother to bargain them down then they have made an extra 1000. This is why it is important to know how much the dealership has put into the car. Once you know that, you know how much you can try and bargain off and what is the absolute minimum they will go to.

return to Denver Dealership

New vs. Leasing a Car

Volkswagen Commercial

Top 10 questions to Ask a Used Car Dealer before you Buy

You're looking for a new car and you've decided to buy used. Smart choice! With the price of gas and the state of the economy, shelling out all that extra cash for a brand new car when a used car can be just as fuel efficient and a much better deal is like tossing your cash into your car's fuel tank and literally burning that money away.

Craigslist, eBay, car classifieds, and used car search engines like iSeeCars.com make finding used cars for sale so much easier than ever before. But you have to be careful-there's bound to be a few lemons out there that will leave you with more than just a sour taste in your mouth. Making a major purchase like a car-even if, or perhaps especially if, it's a cheap used car-requires that you do all of your homework. Remain in control and no one will be able to pull the wool over your eyes!

Here are the top ten questions you should ask a used car seller before you sign on the dotted line:

1.) Can you tell me why you're selling this car? Used car dealerships might not know (but they may know why the last owner sold it to them), but all private sellers you might find through Craigslist, eBay, or car classifieds ought to answer. If possible, watch their facial expressions when they answer, too, in case they're not being entirely truthful. If they're moving or can no longer afford payments for the car, the car is more likely to be of higher quality. If it's because it's very old or has required many repairs, make sure you know if the price is fair and understand what you're getting into.

2.)What is the car's mileage? Car mileage plays a large part in determining the used car's value. And remember that used car odometers can be tampered with, which is why you should ask...

3.)Will you allow a test drive? Any used car dealership should have no problem letting you test drive their used cars for sale around town. Private sellers might be more reticent, but assure them you'll allow them to accompany you on the trip. Test drives are essential for noticing problems with the car as well as for making sure that the car is the right fit for you. You'll also be able to notice if the odometer appears to be "stuck" or has problems.
4.)Will you allow me to make my own inspection? If they're reputable, both used car dealers and private sellers should have no problem with you bringing the car to a trusted mechanic for a thorough inspection.

5.)Is there a warranty on the car? If you're buying from a used car dealership, go for the certified used cars. A lot of used car dealerships offer 112-point inspections and two-year/20,000 miles warranties on low- to average-mileage used cars. Some used cars for sale may come with existing factory warranties. When buying from a used car for sale by owner, unless there's an existing factory warranty, the car is typically sold as-is.

6.)Has this car ever been refurbished or been in an accident? If the used BMW car that's caught your eye was once in an accident, there might be more damage underneath that freshly-painted coat than meets the eye.

7.)What is the vehicle's history? Certified used cars and other used cars for sale at used car dealerships ought to come with vehicle history reports. (Oftentimes these are even available when you search for used cars online.) Used cars for sale by owner might have official vehicle history reports, but if they don't, you should be able to purchase them online at sites like Carfax or Autocheck using the VIN# of the car.

8.)Are you the original owner of this car? If you want quality, it's best to choose used cars for sale by the original owner-unless each owner of the car used it for a short period of time. This actually isn't a moot question for a used car dealer, either; it's possible that car was for sale just a few years ago as a brand-new car and never got off the lot.

9.)What are the car's special features? If CD player, navigation or GPS system, leather seats, or anything else that's "extra" is important to you, ask if they're available in the used car that you're considering-and if they're still in good, working condition.

10.)Do you have service or maintenance records for the car? If the owner has kept good records and has followed the manufacturer's suggestions for scheduled maintenance like changing oil every so many miles, that would be a good indication of how well the car was taken care of.

How to buy a Car

Denver Volkswagen Dealerships

There are a few big names when it comes to Volkswagen Dealerships in the Denver Metro Area. We are looking at Osborn Automotive, Emich Volkswagen, McDonald Volkswagen & Tynan's.

The first on the list, Osborn Automotive is located on W. Colfax in Lakewood. The appearance of the VW dealership is very appealing, the building is nice and the car lot is very clean. When you walk into Osborn Automotive, someone welcomes you and asks if they can get you something to drink. When it comes to customer service of Denver dealerships, Osborn ranks in the top. The salesmen were eager to help you find your next car...not too pushy but maybe a little too in your face. They were really trying to push Volkswagen's new Jetta TDI which is a diesel jetta that is suppose to be getting 50 mpg! They actually sold me on the idea with the new jetta having a mechanism that filters the exhaust so it is a really "green car."

When I was looking at the selection I was impressed with all of the cars they had in their lot. Their selection of New & Used cars was greater than the majority of previous dealerships I have been to. The pricing on used cars was average to slightly high.

Now I didn't buy a car from them but I acted like I wanted to trade in my 04' Explorer and I was surprised with the trade in price they offered me. I figured it would be way lower than what I felt my car was worth and actually it was just a little less.

I made a few phone calls to their service center and acted like I needed to get my car fixed. I asked them what they charge per hour for service and it was a little bit higher than average. They told me that they would have my car done faster because they specialize in vw auto repair and know those cars inside and out. I also asked when I could get my car serviced and they said the next day. I don't know if they are slow or if they just allow a lot of cars to be worked on at once.

Denver Volkswagen Repair

If you have a Denver Volkswagen and you need it serviced, there's only one place to go! It was more than the pushy salesman that we frequently get when "looking for a car." When I was approached, it wasn't how can I help you, it was "if you have any questions or need any assistance with any of our vehicles please let us know." I was told that they recently have hired a new GM of the KIA dealership and look to improve on their presence of Denver KIA Dealers. I left the KIA dealership in Lakewood with more knowledge about the KIA cars I was interested in and comfortable with the relationship I had made with the salesman. If I ever buy a KIA it will be from the Osborn KIA Dealership.
